The ABB IRB 4400 robot is one of the most sought after in the used market. There are two main reasons for this: first, they are not used in large quantities in the automotive industry and, secondly, they are ideal for many medium / range applications. The model 4400/60 has an excellent speed and flexibility with a great combination of reach and capacity. The IRB 4400 is available in 4 different configurations, the most common being the standard and 60 kg versions. The 4400 can be used in many applications, including pick and place, machine laying, grinding, welding, deburring, trimming and sealing. They are especially popular in the injection molding industry, where they can be used to load, unload and perform IML (in the labeling of molds). The 4400/60 has excellent precision and, therefore, is commonly used for laser cutting. The IRB 4400/60 is a highly agile and compact robot for medium to heavy load handling tasks. Due to its excellent versatility it is suitable for very varied applications. Equipped with the IRC5 controller, with a renewed design in front of its predecessor. The RAPID instructions in this control make programming easier. It's load capacity of 60 kg at very fast speeds allows simultaneous handling of two pieces. It's robust and balanced design means long intervals between routine maintenance. Well-balanced steel arms with double bearing joints, a pair-shaft on shaft 2 and the use of maintenance-free gearboxes and wiring also contribute to high levels of reliability. Due to its high maneuverability the ABB IRB 4400/60 is highly suitable for tasks in which speed and flexibility are necessary. Its robust construction extends the time intervals between maintenance. Its steel arm balanced with axes at its sides, its axis 2 compensation system as well as: -gearbox and wiring housings provide high reliability. -Its motor drives are optimized for high motor torques with a minimum energy consumption to enable economical operation.
